Imagine spending the night inside a giant Poké Ball surrounded by Hokkaido’s beautiful nature. A new Pokémon-themed accommodation is coming soon, and it could become one of the most unique stays in Japan.

A Poké Ball You Can Actually Stay In
The accommodation is a collaboration between Pokémon Sleep and Japanese accommodation company NOT A HOTEL. Designed around the iconic shape of a Poké Ball, the concept aims to bring the relaxing world of Pokémon Sleep into real life, creating a stay that feels like stepping directly into the Pokémon universe.
Somewhere in Hokkaido
The special accommodation will be set among Hokkaido’s vast natural scenery, making the experience more than just a themed stay. The surrounding nature is expected to complement the relaxing concept of Pokémon Sleep.
However, the exact location and interior design are still being kept secret for now. More details are expected to be revealed soon.
The Full Reveal Is Coming Soon
The full reveal of the Poké Ball accommodation is scheduled for September 15, 2026. More information about the project and the special campaign is also expected to be announced on that date.
So if you’re a Pokémon fan planning a trip to Japan, September 15 is definitely a date worth keeping in mind.
Can You Book It?
Not yet!
Unlike a regular hotel, the Poké Ball stay is currently being offered through a special campaign, where selected winners will receive the opportunity to stay there.
That means you can’t simply add the accommodation to your Hokkaido itinerary and make a normal booking. For now, fans will need to wait for the campaign details and find out how they can enter.
A Perfect Match with Pokémon Sleep
The concept fits perfectly with Pokémon Sleep, the sleep-tracking game that turns your sleeping habits into a Pokémon-collecting experience.
As you sleep, the game tracks your sleeping patterns and determines which Pokémon gather around Snorlax. In other words, even sleeping becomes part of the Pokémon adventure.
The Poké Ball accommodation takes that idea one step further by turning the feeling of Pokémon Sleep into a real-world experience.
Would You Sleep Inside a Poké Ball?
For Pokémon fans, staying inside a giant Poké Ball surrounded by Hokkaido’s natural scenery could be an unforgettable experience.
The accommodation is still under wraps for now, but the September 15, 2026 reveal could give us our first proper look at what it will actually be like.
