When you hear Suzuka Circuit, you might immediately think of Formula 1 and world-class motorsports. But this legendary race track in Mie has more to offer than watching professional drivers compete.
Located in Suzuka City, Suzuka Circuit combines a world-class racing track with a family-friendly amusement park, making it an interesting destination even if you’re not a hardcore motorsports fan.

A Legendary Track for Motorsport Fans
Suzuka Circuit is one of Japan’s most iconic race tracks and one of only two circuits in the country that meet Formula 1 specifications.
The circuit hosts major events including the Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix and Super GT, as well as various motorcycle races. Major racing events are typically held between March and November, bringing some of the world’s top drivers and riders to the track.
Even outside major race weekends, visiting Suzuka gives you the chance to experience a place that has played an important role in Japan’s motorsports culture.
But It’s Not Just About Watching F1
Here’s what makes Suzuka Circuit especially interesting for families: there’s an amusement park right next to the race track.
The park features a variety of rides and attractions designed around driving and motorsports. There are different types of go-karts and vehicles that visitors can drive themselves, with options ranging from beginner-friendly cars for young children to faster rides for older visitors and adults.
Drive on a Real Racing Track
One of the most unique experiences is the Circuit Challenger, where visitors can ride a two-seater electric go-kart on the actual Suzuka Circuit track.
It’s not just a regular go-kart experience. You get to drive on the same legendary track used for professional races, giving visitors a chance to experience Suzuka from behind the wheel.
Children as young as two years old can also ride along when accompanied by a driver aged 13 or older, making it an activity that can be enjoyed by families with younger children too.
